Anxiety That Doesn't Quiet Down
Most clients come to us not because they're anxious — most people are anxious sometimes — but because the anxiety has become disproportionate, persistent, and started shrinking their lives. Avoidance creeps in. Sleep gets disrupted. The body stays activated long past when it should have settled.
What We Treat
- Generalized anxiety
- Panic disorder and panic attacks
- Social anxiety
- Specific phobias
- Health anxiety and OCD-spectrum patterns
- Anxiety in the context of LGBTQ+ minority stress
What Works
CBT is the gold standard for anxiety treatment, and we use it. We pair it with mindfulness and somatic regulation to settle the nervous system, exposure-based work for specific fears and panic, and DBT skills for clients whose anxiety drives intense reactivity. The goal isn't to eliminate anxiety — that's neither possible nor healthy. The goal is to change your relationship with it so it no longer drives.
Realistic Timeline
Anxiety is one of the most responsive concerns we treat. Many clients notice meaningful relief within 6–12 sessions. Specific phobias and panic often resolve faster than that. Generalized anxiety usually takes longer but tends to improve steadily.
